Challney celebrates its best ever GCSE results (2011)

Along with our partner school, Denbigh High School, here at Challney we are celebrating our best set of GCSE results to date.

Here are the headline figures:

• 5 A-C – 97%
• 5 A-C including English and Maths – 77%
• Percentage of students achieving an A-C grade in English – 82%
• Percentage of students achieving an A-C grade in Maths – 80%
• Percentage of students achieving an A-C grade in Science – 85%

We have continued to improve in all areas although most notably in English and again in Maths. In addition more than half of our boys received an A* to C grade in Modern Foreign Languages.

Our commitment to helping students achieve means that students at all levels have managed to secure excellent results as shown in their outstanding achievements.

We are proud of all our students but some did exceptionally well and deserve a special mention. These include Hasan Sawal, Fazeel Talib and Haider Ahmed who all achieved 10 A*-A grades or equivalent and Ebrahim Tambe who achieved 12 A*-A or equivalent.
