A unique Partnership between Challney High School for Boys and Denbigh High School has enabled us to enhance and extend our CPD provision by combining Challney’s success as a Training School and Denbigh’s achievements as a designated Teaching School and a Leadership Partner School.
We have collaborated to create a new suite of Professional Pathways. These will enable teaching staff to develop their skills and knowledge through clearly defined routes linked to the Professional Standards and offer opportunities at Masters level.
For support staff, the Pathways will enable access routes to national qualifications. Each course has been designed so that CPD can be personalised by following one Pathway or choosing individual sessions.
In addition, team and whole staff development sessions are used as opportunities to plan, share and celebrate good practice.
Our status as an Investor in People school demonstrates the importance we place on staff development and support.
