The School was re-awarded the prestigious Investors in Careers Award in March 2010. This demonstrated the commitment by the School to the provision of quality careers education and guidance (CEG), giving all pupils the knowledge, skills and positive attitudes associated with successful transition from school to work and adult life. The Careers Co-ordinator works closely with the subject departments, the PSHE Team and the Single Conversation Teams to provide a thorough guidance and information programme from Year 7 onwards. We work in partnership with external agencies, local employers and colleges, to provide a comprehensive package that enables our pupils to make choices about their potential career path.
In Year 11, the boys embark on a two week work experience placement and later in the year take part in a three week programme of mock interviews which, combined with the careers package in PSHE, helps them to prepare for the variety of interviews ahead of them.
