Religious Education & Collective Worship
Our RE syllabus follows the Luton Agreed Syllabus at Key Stage 3 and covers the main faiths of the United Kingdom: Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, and Sikhism.
All aspects of citizenship are also covered in the curriculum and in form time activities.
We teach students how to live in a tolerant, multi-faith society and cover topics relevant to, and experienced by, young people in our community. Our students follow a GCSE course in which they study Christianity and Islam in greater depth and where they are able to explore their own ideas on spiritual, philosophical, ethical and moral dilemmas as well as place their beliefs in the context of modern British society.
The school has an exemption from the requirement to hold collective worship of a Christian character. Each year group has a weekly assembly based on a moral, spiritual or citizenship theme.
